Very friendly staff, walking distance to several restaurants, best of all free continental breakfast and free high speed internet
It was dirty, it smelled of stale cigarette smoke and half of the electrical outlets did not work. Another rooms toilet had flooded into the hallway sometime throughout the night leaving the hall smelling of urine and all the staff did was put up a wet floor sign. Would not recommend staying here!!
the price plus the refrigerator and microwave oven.
The room wasn't very clean. The bathroom was horrible especially the bathtub. Didn't take a shower because of how bad the bathtub was.
Location was excellent, excellent wi-fi
Pool would be nice
Everything had a general odor of mildew because it's in a fairly advance state of dilapidation. All the available a/c units are beyond repair. Rugs in the halls and rooms are dirty and threadbare, plumbing fixtures are outdated and leaking. The pool is closed, and doesn't seem to have been in operation for years based on the weeds thriving in the protective cover. Other than flimsy bar preventing the opening of the sliding glass door, there was no lock from the room to the outside.
location and value
non-locked entry doors
I guess if you just need a bed it's OK.
People asked if they rented by the hour! If that says anything about the Inn.
Good location, close to Interstate.
Decor is very very plain; strange stuffy odor; lack of fresh air in halls and lobby area.
We come from Dayton Ohio and end in Les Cheneaux Michigan. It's an economical, comfortable stop to break up our trip. We are able to park our truck/boat behind the 7/11 and it works just fine. See you next year.
This time we stayed in a non-smoking room and it smelled of cigarette smoke and the bathroom light was on it's way out (flashing). Minor things really but the smoke smell was a little irritating considerating the warnings. The man at the desk was concerned about our compliants.
Valu Inn has a great price that is tough to beat for its location. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the continental breakfast is very convenient.
The hot water in the shower took a few minutes to turn on, but it was there. I'll have to remember for next time to give it a few minutes.
reasonably priced, close to where I had to be early the next morning. Room was clean.
The entry way area into the hotel had a "musty" smell. The remote for the tv only allowed you to go up to change channels, not down and not able to enter the channel number to change it either. The "congtinental breakfast was very skimpy. Only "hot food" was instant oatmeal or a bagel. No frest fruit or yogart either.
The price was what we were looking for, something reasonably priced, a place to sleep and get on the road first thing in the morning. This is an older establishment- seemed to be clean.
Wasnt there even 24 hours, just slept there. Checked in late and left eary so I can't give an honest opinion.
The smell in the hallways gave me the idea that it was an old hotel that wasn't used much and was musty. The room itself did not smell and was more than I expected for the price.
The price was incredible for what you got. They offer free breakfast and Internet to guests. They're also very flexible and friendly. They responded very well to my requests. I never felt as though I was in harm or any discomfort while staying here.
The maid doesn't speak English very well. There's also a persistent smell in the lobby that is somewhat unpleasant.
Our room was filthy, if it hadn't been so late, I would have left for another location.
